So Many Launches …
If you have been living under a rock lately you may have missed all the latest IM launches. First of all, all the big guns have come out to play. Their mission is take any after Christmas money that you may have had from your wallet. They seem to have all hit on the magic number of $2000.00 bucks as our “investment”.
What have we had so far?
There has been Armand Morin’s launch. Top stuff. Fantastic free content was given away. Shuffle on over to his blog before he takes it down and check out this stuff. This is magic. I really like Armand!
Then there was John Reese’s launch. Again, seemed like a great product…. but not as much free content as Armand. Naughty John !!!
And finally… there was Frank Kern’s Mass Control. Now this whole launch was an exercise in mass control. To be honest, I had only barely heard the name of Frank Kern - didn’t really know who he was. Well, now I know. He’s a cool dude! Frank gave away so much free content in his pre launch that was impossible not to like the guy. Also, he showed some nasty human traits that I like…. like he didn’t understand all the techie equipment, lost his place sometimes, think he swore a few times as well. From my point of view, this is great. It is a comfort to me when I am struggling to make a video work that cool dudes like Frank Kern struggle as well.
The one thing that really showed the human side of Frank Kern was on launch day. So many fingers on the trigger and Frank’s server crashed and his shopping cart didn’t work. His support crew were great at dealing with all the problems associated with this and they were up and running and customers were soothed in no time flat. No excuses from him either. That’s cool.
The one thing that I liked about this launch was that Frank was in out and of various forums and blogs responding to questions from us ordinary folk. And, he didn’t come across as an up himself @sshole. Yes, I have fallen for Frank! I think his content is way cool and it is presented in a way that people like me can follow and understand.
I’ve got to say though the one thing that I hated about Mass Control was all the affiliates promoting it. It was easy for me because I am a hard assed witch. I just deleted everything unless the sender was someone that I loved and respected. Affiliates … listen up. There was only 2 of you that were not deleted straight up.
Why do I hit delete? Well first of all the world is divided into two types of people. One are givers, the others are takers. The givers are the ones where I look forward to their emails and make sure that I read them because they have good stuff inside. The sellers are ones that have never told me anything and just try to get me to buy whatever they are promoting.
I know what you are thinking….. why don’t I just unsubscribe. Well I have! Many times! I keep a file of things that I have unsubscribed to. But like an unfortunate teenage rash they keep coming back, again and again. There is no stopping them. They are like a festering sore that refuses to heal or, in this case, bugger off and leave me alone.
So, there we go, it’s a rant, it’s a rave and it’s probably a bit rambling.
Have a good day and do mosey over to mass control and armand morin’s blog and grab the free content - these are guys that are truly givers.
